Conservation Alliance Nepal Holds Board Meeting on November 14

Kathmandu, November 14 — Conservation Alliance Nepal (CAN) held its board meeting, chaired by General Gaurav SJB Rana, who highlighted the need to explore and utilize local opportunities for strengthening CAN’s work.Wildlife crime investigation expert DIG Hemanta Malla presented key priority tasks for CAN, including completing essential data collection, building capacity for wildlife crime investigations, improving coordination with local governments, and developing training curricula for the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Police.The meeting decided that Dr. Sindhu Dhungana and DIG Malla will prepare a working paper, with General Secretary Dr. Siddhartha Bajracharya joining the effort.

General Rana concluded the meeting with closing remarks, thanking Thapa for his initiative and Malla for his detailed presentation. CAN will soon hold a knowledge-sharing session led by Thapa on urban development and biodiversity.
